BN has come up with the best provision on public assembly. But the opposition once again claimed that this new bill DRACONION ... what the hell? The following is the gist of the new bill that guarantees public assembly
- every citizen has the rights to assemble in a peaceful manner (peaceful not chaotic)
- there are designated areas for public assembly and notice can be given to the police within 24 hours (wow very short notice)
- in assemblies not in the designated areas, a 10 days notice must be given to the police, so that the police can get the feedback from the local communities
